Fausse

Small but powerful! In addition a real technology bundle, too: provisional cast on, 3-needle joining technique, double-layers-technique, finishing of the crown with 6 double pointed needles and a yarn-mix of cotton and virgin wool: these were some of ideas that struck me, in order to get this form. Such experiment begins as always quite harmless: "Once I had a leather hat... It looked like as if it was a pot with a top... That was cool and it fitted perfectly!"  - Could I knit something like that? Off course, but how? It made me ponder for a week, but now after 3 failed starts and 5 unravelling secions I proudly present “Fausse". Shown here as neutral version. Since I got the form now, I plan to do more of, but they’ll be crazier. I think of more colour, fringes or tassels.

By the way, lucky owner commented: “I look like a Mufti.”
There's something true about that. Even Turkish kids on the street greet him very respectable saying: "Merhaba!"

The pattern is available on Raverly, as usual in German and English.
